MiM Tip
(OS X) You’ve all probably wanted to make an outline at one point in your life, for various reasons. You’ve probably also done a quick Google search for good (free) outlining software for your Mac, to make the job easy.
Well, did you know that you’ve already got a pretty good outline creator installed?
You do. By pressing option+tab in TextEdit, you create a list, which is great for basic outlines! You indent the points as you would normally do, by using the tab key, and it’s really simple to leave the list mode should you want to make an outline within a document without opening a larger word processor (just start a new paragraph).
